A catch up

I have a lot to catch up on since I last properly wrote (about my holidays anyway!) So here is a brief overview and some pictures to keep y’all happy :)

On Friday night Mum, Dad and I went to Spencer and Rhonda’s house for dinner. We heard all about their trip and the great time they had exploring Australia. I really enjoy having them back in Sydney at our church! I’ve missed them and their fellowship.
Rhonda also made the most delicious meal!!
Oh, mum and I also went to Angus, the chiropractor, that day. It was fun (but painful).

On Saturday I went shopping with Mum early in the morning. I took her to her podiatrist appt. and then we went on to Mac Centre where we had breakfast. The picture above (the furthest to the right) is of a painting we would like to put in our newly painted study!
Mum and I had a really nice day (she bought me a top and she got a top too!). We also made a trip to Officeworks where I got some things to make my desk look more tidy! It does!

I was supposed to go to an NTE reunion that day too - but Pete was sick so we didn’t have it. Instead mum, dad, jono and I went to see Happy Feet at night. It was a really good movie! I loved it!!!! Such a good soundtrack and oh so funny!
“Alien..... Alien......?? I have a friend called Estevan”. HAHAHAHA.

Sunday was a pretty normal Sunday. We went to church, then Bec, Jono and I went shopping where we met Alistair. That was pretty amusing how we ran around the shops. Bec and I tried to get Alistair and Jono to try on some clothing but it proved very difficult *shakes head at Alistair* (he was the really hard one!).
Bec I tried on our dresses again because we so loved them and got Jono to take a full length shot. Thanks Jono! They are pretty hey!
We also bought Alistair a present which was highly humorous. We wrapped it in pink cat paper with tiaras. Muahahaha. But I think he liked it. (Long story as to what we bought etc etc).
When I got home I had a birthday afternooon tea for Lynn and Grandad. The photo of Andrew is him at the afternoon tea. It was a nice afternoon although I was very full from lunch so didn’t eat a lot.

Monday 15th January
Monday was the day I last blogged before the delivery. We had a K4C meeting that night at my house and since Bec was going to be there early the next day we decided she should stay over. We stayed up late talking and reminiscing over our old letters to each other. That was nice :) We then slept (not very well though hehe).
The K4C meeting went very well too! I feel so organised!

Tuesday was another day of scrapbooking adventures with Bec and Di. We had a lot of fun scrapping, reliving moments with our photos, finding out more about each other (eating waffles for breakfast!).
Di also is a really good piano player and she played us some of her own compositions. One we jointly wrote words to and created a song. It’s called “Coming in the Clouds”. It speaks about when Christ will return and take his children to be with him. It also writes about how the whole world even those who don’t have him as their Lord will bow in submission to him.
It still needs some work but we’re hoping to have another jam (and scones) session to practise!

After that day I did a few things which I will list.

:: Worked as a recreational officer at a nursing home. This involved running activities for residents. It was an amazing experience - I loved every minute of it!
:: Had the Youth Group dinner. It was so much fun! I  haven’t laughed so hard in a long time! We went to Fusion Café in Mac Centre. We had a fun fun time with our waiter, singing happy birthday to people on other tables, creating faces out of pizza. Oh the amusement!

Saturday 20th January
Saturday the 20th January was mostly spent in the city at the domain! What a great afternoon.
I picked up Bess around 1:45pm at her place and we went off to the station (bought some magazines on the way) and met Caro___ at 2:10pm. We bought our tickets to St James and hopped on the train!
It was soooo hot that day the sweat was dripping down our legs (eww). When we got to the city it was cooler we were very thankful!
Bess Caro and I went into the NSW Art Gallery before going to reserve a spot at the domain. It wasn’t very busy there yet so we decided we could wait for a little while.
We saw some reallly weird artworks! Like this bubble which had 2 eyes and lips projected onto it and it said things like “KILL ME”. It was downright creepy! My favourite artwork was one in the Yuribana Gallery called “My favourite place”. It was amazing you could see a big picture from far away that was magical and when you get closer you noticed all these small details which told a special story. I loved it!
We then went across to the domain reserved some seating and played uno, read magazines etc. Mum and Dad then arrived and we ate cheese. Yum! Other people then arrived in drips and drabs across the evening and we played hearts and 500. It was great times.
The people who were there were Caro, Bess, Andrew, Jono, Mum, Dad, Sam, Cat, Mat, Nathan, Tiina, Joel and some randoms I didn’t know.
The music was great - me and Caro loved commenting on different things and guessing the name of people in the SSO!
We also laughed at people’s pronuciation of words - like Maestro pronounced “May - estro” HAHA.
